Teacher Networking
The Mission of TPTA is to provide a network that empowers piano teachers to achieve their potential as pedagogues, artists, and community leaders through offering professional development and mentorship programs that help foster the artistic, intellectual and personal growth of its members. Membership in TPTA offers teachers a forum for networking and support, to exchange teaching ideas and strategies, further offering performing opportunities for their students.

Why a TPTA Teacher?
Our students have access to teachers who are committed to their profession. Many of our teachers hold their Bachelor and Master Degrees in music and are actively involved in Toledo's music community. The majority of TPTA members are full time performing/teaching musicians. They understand the demands of a career in music and are well trained in guiding you, whether you are looking at piano lessons for your own enjoyment or preparing for a career in music.

Community Outreach
TPTA teachers have access to many performance/competition events for their students. They maintain partnerships with The University of Toledo's Dorothy Price Masterclass and Recital Series, The University of Toledo Symphony Orchestra, the Ohio Music Teacher's Association's Piano Festival, participate in the Buckeye competition and host their own performing events such as Christmas at Children's Wonderland and the Student Spring Recital at Wildwood Manor House.
